Magic, transitions and monsters

  • Spell prices have been updated on all servers https://rom2.ru/en/magic.
  • Flying/hovering units (bats, harpies, dragons, etc.) can no longer be received as a reward in the tavern; low-level bats, harpies, and dragons now give experience again.

  • An experience transfer limit has been added for reborn to the next server, see https://rom2.ru/en/reborn-reclass-ascension
  • Amazons and witches lose strength down to 25 and 1 respectively when transitioning from server 6 to 7.
  • Reborn requirements on server 2 have been reduced.
  • The cost of the super-stat potion on server 5 has been reduced from 100m to 10m.
  • The experience penalty for character death on server 6 has been reduced from 5% to 3%.
  • The gold requirements for transitioning to server 6 have been reduced: from 10m to 7m and from 30m to 21m.
  • Amazons, witches, and HC characters now require more experience to transition from server 5 to 6 and from server 6 to 7.
  • Boss rewards have been improved.
  • Servers 5-6: mini-bosses with useful items have been added.
  • On servers 3-4-5-6, mage items now include speed and armor (previously disabled).
  • The duration of Darkness has been reduced for servers 6-10.
  • Reclass now requires 300 million.
  • Ascension now requires 2.147 billion.
  • Quest sets (especially for mages) have been strengthened.
  • Minimum speed has been increased for servers 4-7.
  • Amazons and witches have significantly increased magic resistance.
  • Mages’ water resistance has been increased (60 -> 70).
  • Warrior sets for server 8+ received an additional attack.
  • The mana cost of some top-tier spells has been reduced.
  • Wolves have been removed from server 1; now to create a character, you just need to go to the Town Hall.

…to create a character, simply visit the Town Hall.

  • Escort bug has been fixed.
  • Messages explaining failed reborn attempts have been added (they are written in the “clan” field).
  • A new zombie-avatar Elf has been added.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented creating 20/10 characters for Friends of Hat.

Magic

  • New spells are now available on early servers, for example, Invisibility and Stone Wall can now be purchased fairly cheaply on server 5.
  • The duration of Protection from Magic, Haste, and Curse spells has been increased on early servers.
  • The price of some scrolls has been reduced, for example, the “Glow” scroll.
  • Magic on some scrolls has been enhanced.
  • Summoning scrolls now summon level 2-3-4 pets (on servers 6 and 7+).
  • Incorrect fire protection scrolls (regular and elven versions were swapped) have been fixed.
  • Servers 2-4: Rainbow Lightning has been slightly nerfed.

Monsters

  • The behavior mechanism of creatures when reaching 0 HP has been fixed.
    Previously, they would remain in a limbo state with 0 HP (life not decreasing), which was designed as part of the single-player gameplay but caused undesirable situations in online play. This allowed players to exploit the system: hiding behind half-dead monsters as an “eternal” living shield, or removing monsters to escort caravans. Now, when a creature reaches 0 HP, it will die (not immediately, but after a fairly long time), making the gameplay more logical and fair.
  • All dragons are now vulnerable to air and less vulnerable to water.
  • Harpies on early servers have become less cowardly.
  • Demons on servers 2-3-4 now have immunity to water, but their damage has been reduced. Additionally, level 5 demons’ fire resistance has been lowered.
  • Physical resistance of turtles on servers 4-6 has been reduced (important for mages, as they summon turtles for tanking).
  • The probability of goblins on servers 4-5 casting Slow has been greatly reduced.
  • The chance of zombies casting Slow has been significantly reduced.
  • Demons on servers 4-5 have had their Slow spell replaced with Blessing.
  • Zombies1 and skeletons1 no longer leave eternal corpses with 0 HP.
  • Experience and money are now awarded for all level 4-5 shamans.

Caravans

  • Delivery item and escort unit quests have been added (on server 6, the “Deliver Item” quests are only available in difficult taverns on maps like Turtle Beach, Terra Mortis, Ordeal).
  • Escort unit: catapult (aka wagon). It has no vision, so you should guide it along the way.
  • Many maps have been reworked to make escort missions less simple.
  • Servers 4-5-6: caravan speed has been significantly increased.
  • Servers 4-5-6-7: caravans (catapults) have become much sturdier (the higher the server, the tougher they are) and received protection from lightning.

Potions

  • Now, on server 6, each level 4 dragon drops a potion.
  • The experience gained from killing a level 4 dragon has been increased to 1,000,000, and the “Kill the Enemy” quest for them has been removed. Now, dragon hunters only need to take the “Kill one level 4 dragon” quest and head out on a hunt for the best reward (no more rolling and searching for a specific dragon).
  • Strength potions have been added to bosses.

Servers

  • Server 2:
      • one of the elemental protection books can be obtained (and the book itself has become cheaper, although the shop still says otherwise)
      • more inhabitants have been added to the maps
  • Servers 2-5:
      • centipedes summoned by mages have enhanced magic protection
      • squirrels summoned by mages now have faster turn speed
  • Servers 2-6:
      • sheep have reduced vision and speed
  • Server 3:
      • ghost3 experience has been reduced
      • harpy1 experience has been increased
  • Servers 4-5:
      • squirrels’ resistances have been removed (the only resistance that remains is to fire)
  • Server 5:
      • maps have been completely reworked
      • Regeneration Potions have been added (cost 10,000, work for one minute)
      • level 4 ghosts have been added to remote areas of the maps (8+ per map); ghost4’s vamp ability has been weakened
      • dragon2 has been strengthened (and the reward for it has been increased)
      • goblins3, orcs3, ogres3, trolls3, skeleton archers3, zombie crossbowmen3 – attack increased
      • goblins3, orcs3, shamans3 – more rewards
      • shamans3, harpies3 slightly weakened
      • skeletons4 and necromancers4 added; increased experience for lich3 and demon1-2, weakened raptor4.
      • goblin spearman level 4 has been weakened.
      • sling goblins no longer flee
      • demon3 gives max reward
      • resist items added to dragon2
      • dragon3: protection from shooting and armor removed (to make it easier for warriors to defeat the dragon)
  • Server 6:
      • Maps have been completely reworked
      • Level 5 monsters have been added
      • Increased experience for the following monsters: centipede4, squirrel4, dragon1-2-3, demon1-2-3-4, necromancer5, and some others.
      • Increased experience for ghost5 and demons2-3; demons2-3 have also been strengthened
      • Resist items added to dragon3
  • Server 7:
      • An epidemic has wiped out the population of the starting city… now spirits live there. Rumor has it that local adventurers have started disturbing some of these spirits to develop their initial skills and earn their first gold after reborn.
      • cannibal4-5: gains slight resistance to water, but is now afraid of air
      • Heaven: the start of the map has been simplified
      • Level 5 ranged monsters on server 7 and higher now have immunity to astral; also, level 4 ranged monsters on server 8 have astral immunity.
  • Servers 7+:
      • mice5 and harpies5 are vulnerable to fire
      • centipedes5 gain resistance to fire and water (but start fearing air)
      • HP regeneration for spiders5 and bats5 has been reduced
      • mice4-5 are slightly less protected from water
      • trolls4-5: slightly more resistant to fire
      • dragon5:
  • Servers 9+:
      • monsters’ defense has been increased (each subsequent server requires an attack set from the previous server).
      • mice5 have reduced HP (in large groups).
  • Server 11:
      • harpy5 HP reduced
      • dragon, harpy, and bat fire resistance lowered (to make the fireball bow more effective)
      • troll fire resistance reduced
      • ogres, harpies, and dragons have reduced water resistance
