“Mad Caravaner” Tournament 🐪

August 17, 2024

Battles for powerful artifacts plunged the world of Sarnaut into chaos and ruin. But years have passed, and since then, life has begun to reawaken across the expanses of the allods. Though the mages and warriors of the past left their marks in the grand history, the common folk of these lands now long for simple joys, for peace and prosperity.

In ancient times, caravans laden with rare goods and magical wonders roamed the roads freely, and the taverns of the allods were filled with merriment and friendly gatherings. Now, however, the routes between taverns are dangerous, and journeys are rare, with only the most daring caravan drivers venturing into the wilds.

Yet, in the heart of our reawakening world, caravan drivers have once again gathered in the old, cozy taverns. They have announced the “Mad Caravaner” Tournament, where each brave hero must single-handedly guide caravans through the most wild and forgotten roads, bringing trade and joy back to these lands.

But what awaits those who dare to participate? Beyond fame and priceless artifacts, each participant will have the chance to sample the finest brews crafted in the most secluded and cozy taverns of Sarnaut. It is said that these drinks contain magic, capable of granting strength for future exploits. So even if you don’t end up among the winners, you won’t walk away empty-handed—for a good mug of ale can sometimes be as great a reward as the kiss of a fair maiden.

So, friends, straighten your cloaks, arm yourselves with patience, and set out on your journey! Who knows what adventures await you around the bend of the old road leading to a long-forgotten tavern…

Objective

Solo guide all possible caravans to all taverns. Each route must be unique (i.e., traveling from point A to point B counts as one successful run; if you then guide the caravan back from point B to point A, it will not count in the tournament as it’s considered a duplicate).

Unique routes are counted separately for each player. This means that if another player has already completed a route and posted a video, you can repeat it, and it will count as your unique route. It’s important that your own routes do not repeat with each other, but repeating routes of other players is allowed.

Tournament Deadline: until noon, 02.09.24

Participation Rules

  1. Record a video of you solo (alone) guiding a caravan from one tavern to another. Video editing is prohibited; everything must be recorded fully from the moment you log into the server (so the server list is visible).
  2. Upload the video to your YouTube channel.
  3. The video title should be: Allods 2 CARAVAN: <map name> <route>. Example title: “Allods 2 CARAVAN: Judas from W to NE”.
  4. Post the video link in our Discord’s #🐪caravans channel, specifying the name of your main character.

Victory Conditions

  1. The winner is the one who completes the most unique routes on maps of all difficulties. If participants have the same number of routes (tying for the same place), the winner is the one who completed the caravans faster.
  2. You must guide the caravan alone; assistance from other players is not allowed (route clearing, buffs, etc.). All monsters on the caravan’s path must remain untouched; if even one monster on your caravan’s path was defeated by someone else or not during the caravan run, the route is considered invalid. All participants of caravant must come to the end of route alive.
  3. Your character must not stray too far from the caravan. The caravan must always be within your character’s sight.

Prizes

Every participant will receive Swift Boots

1st place: Strength +2, Speed +7
2nd place: Strength +2, Speed +6
3rd place: Strength +2, Speed +5
4th place: Strength +2, Speed +4
5th place: Strength +2, Speed +3

Bonus for ALL other participants: A commemorative unique prize — boots with Strength +2, Speed +2 (so even if you don’t make it to the winners, you will still receive a prize).

All prizes are issued only on the 7+ server.

Notes

  • A caravan is a quest taken in a tavern to conduct a unit (catapult aka caravan), which is available on servers 4-7.
  • It is allowed to conduct a caravan in a party with another player on servers 4-6, provided that both players in the party have reclassed. In this case, the caravan and the second participant must always be in the line of sight of the character who took the quest. The main prize will be received by only one participant (the second will receive a memorable prize). On servers 7, joint passage is allowed only with minimal Body (1 for witch and 25 for amazon).
  • Please report bugged routes. Some taverns are banned from escort as they provide too simple ways:
    5: Judas: Central start tavern
    5: Monsters: Central-North-West bandits tavern
6: Turtle Beach: Central-North-East sand tavern
    6: Terra Mortis: Central-North tavern
…so if you were able to move caraven there – please report about it in our Discord in #bugs channel. Also in general, please report caravan routes that are too easy; every route should be a challenge.
  • If during the escort someone casts “Darkness” on you and the cart becomes invisible, don’t worry. The main thing is that it remains within the original visibility range of your character (as it was just before the “Darkness” was cast).
  • What is the correct way to lead caravans from a tavern that is not the starting one? Come to the tavern and wait for repops for 15 minutes while recording a video?
As you wish. The important thing is that the route has all the mobs and that’s it.
  • If I led a caravan from A to B, can I lead a caravan from B to C without re-entering the map, in one video?
Yes, you can lead as many caravans as you want in one video (within 1 map). You just need to indicate this in the title of the video so that it is easier for the judge to figure it out.
